it worked!
I think computers can be a very strange piece of technology somtimes. We tried to watch dvd's on my computer last semester when I moved back into the dorm and it would not work for anything. I know it works because I watched dvd's all last year and all last semester on my computer. Well, last night we put one in for the heck of it because we wanted to watch the longest yard.... and it worked! I have no idea what the difference was, if it was a different kind of dvd or what, but i'm very happy I can watch a dvd now in my room.

Carly, I completely understand your dissatisfaction with computers. I also am unskilled in the art of technology. I hate trying to learn about computers and other electronic sources. I may need you help as we progress in the class throughout the semester. bye.
I agree with both of you technology is sometimes a pain. I feel like i am incapable of outsma\rting my machines and I had the same problem with my dvd player on my computer last year. It would work sometimes and other times it just didnt feel like it I guess. It can be so frustrating
I agree that sometimes computers can be a pain. I used to hate them with a passion because I never understood what was going on when I was having a problem. The harsh reality is that we will never get away from computers, so I might as well give in and learn more about them
